Join the Blue Mountain Eagle Climbing Club (BMECC) on Thursday, October 18 at 8:30 a.m for a day of fun and hard work on the Appalachian Trail. Projects can range from installing erosion control structures to pruning and removing overgrown vegetation from the sides of the Trail. Regardless of the task, volunteer trail maintainers are what keep the Appalachian Trail alive.
The group will be meeting at the Bethel Library (I-87 and PA 501) at 8:30 a.m. Please be sure to wear sturdy boots, long pants and work gloves. Also be sure to bring a rain jacket, sunscreen, bug spray enough water for the day (at least 2 liters) as well as, lunch, and snacks to have while out on the Trail.
